About Thom Priemon
T.E. Priemon, born in Philadelphia in 1947, studied at the Philadelphia College of Art from 1974 thru 1976, and afterward studied painting methods and materials privately with Francis Cortland Tucker. In the 1980s he worked with hand printed lithographs, collaborating with such important lithographers like George Miller and Sons in New York and Timothy Sheesley a Tamarind Master Printer before returning back to encaustic painting in the 1990s. His encaustic landscapes ane still life paintings were presented in a one man exhibition at the Woodmere Art Museums and his encaustic paintings were featured at the Philadelphia Museum of Art Gallery throughout the 1990s. He has lectured on The Art of Encaustic as well. In 2010 his book, "Encaustic Portraits by T.E. Priemon" was published, and in 2012 he participated in the exhibition, "Art Takes Times Square."
