Denise is proprietress of Empty Mirror Books, and Quanta Webdesign for the Arts.

Prior to opening Empty Mirror, Denise worked for many years in retail management.

For 20 years she has been an enthusiastic reader & serious collector of Beat Generation & small-press poetry books.

Denise was recently interviewed by about her indie music & arts directory, Indie Coffeehouse. It's a bit on the technical side (lots about the nuts & bolts of building an online directory), but you can read it at Web Directory Reviews.

In January 2008, one of our customers, Suzanne, conducted an interview with Denise about bookselling, which was the basis for a college paper. She has also posted the interview on her blog.
