San Francisco 1996Allen Ginsberg is performing here at the de Young Museum where the Whitney Museum's Beat Culture exhibit is being shown. Allen was very tense before his amazing performance. He was very particular about the sound quality and other details. I was able to follow Ginsberg around to the different venues for the Beat exhibit because my prints were in the show. The genial Ginsberg became progressively short tempered as time went on. He knew that he did not have much time left. Allen's performance was great. |
