MICHAEL, LARRY & JANE

MICHAEL, LARRY & JANE
Oakland 2002

Michael McClure, Larry Keenan and Jane McClure are reviewing the digital photos shown on the back of my camera. When Jane, who is a physician and hospital administrator in Alaska serving the native people, is in town she always asks me to visit. I enjoy these visits because I have known her since she was 7 years old going out on Halloween dressed as Jean Harlow. Her husband Bill, is also a physician in Alaska and they have 2 boys who are high school and college age.

AMY IN HER STUDIO

AMY IN HER STUDIO
Oakland 2003

Artist, Amy Evans McClure is shown in her sculpture studio. She is doing great work and her beautiful Zen influenced sculptures are exhibited and collected widely. Her motifs run the gamut from tall monolith-type figures to Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, heads, horse heads and tile sets. Her tall pieces are made in sections to fit into her kiln and fired in her studio. Besides her ceramics studio, Amy has another studio at home, her design studio. Multi-talented, Amy is a wonderful graphic designer specializing in book design. I am a big fan of Amy and her amazing work.
