The Statue With No Face by Richard Krech published by Quartermoon Press, June 2002
Quartermoon Pressis pleased to announce the publication of the first in its new letterpress broadside series. Richard Krech's poem The Statue With No Face is a meditation on the destruction of the 1500-year-old stone Buddhas which were destroyed by Afghanistan's Taliban just over one year ago.
The Statue With No Faceis published in a limited edition of 126, of which 100 are numbered and 26 lettered & signed. Only 30 of the numbered copies and 14 of the lettered signed copies are offered for sale. They are letterpress printed by Jason Davis, on eighty-pound acid-free Fox River Confetti paper. The paper is archival, and is 100% recycled, containing 50% post-consumer waste.
