- EM’s site title is in Ultra, designed by Astigmatic.
- The headlines are in the Trocchi font which was created by the late typographer Vernon Adams and named for the Scottish novelist, Alexander Trocchi.
- The text font is Roboto, created by Christian Robertson.
- Steve Matteson’s Cousine is a monospace font, perfect to preserve formatting in some poems.
Empty Mirror is a Buddhist concept and also the title of Allen Ginsberg’s 1961 collection (read or download) of early poems. Empty Mirror takes its name from the book.
