I am back to drawing with reed pens, brushes, and India ink. This has always been my natural strong approach. Drawing with ink is my ally in the Carlos Castaneda sense. I have always drawn in spurts for a concentrated period of time but this time I will keep going. It is very satisfying and exciting to sit on an early morning, overwhelmed by the abundance and complexity of nature, and yet respond to it.
We live in a pretty neighborhood in Surabaya, Indonesia. It is called San Antonio in Pakuwon City. Pakuwon City, Letters from the East was the title of my first book.
The drawings are 18 x 24 inches on archival paper with a slight warm tone.
