Lawrence Ferlinghetti is posing and not posing in front of his mural at the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, Rebels: Painters and Poets of 1950's exhibition. The photograph behind him is of Ferlinghetti doing one of the first jazz and poetry performances in the 50s.

David Amram is a national living treasure. An amazing musician playing many instruments from all over the world. He was good friend of Kerouac, Burroughs and Dylan. Amram now composes pieces for the Lincoln Center and did the music for Robert Frank's Pull My Daisy.
