Robert Creeley


The author has published more than sixty books of poetry in the United States and abroad.
His honors include the Bollingen Prize, the Lannan Lifetime Achievement Award, and the
Before Columbus Award for Lifetime Achievement. He was New York State Poet from
1989 to 1991 and is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.

After thirty-seven years at the State University of New York at Buffalo,
Creeley joined Brown University's writing program as a Distinguished
Professor in 2003 and now lives in Providence, RI.
