Hilary Holladay, author of the newly-released biography, American Hipster: The Life of Herbert Huncke will be giving a reading, question-and-answer session and booksigning in San Francisco on July 27.
There will be rare video clips played, which have been sent by filmmaker Laki Vazakas who made the compelling documentary Huncke and Louis.
Tate Swindell will also play a few minutes of the reading released on his label, Unrequited Records, of Herbert reading in Amsterdam ca. 1987.
