About Richard Kigel

Richard Kigel is the author of Heav'nly Tidings From the Afric Muse: The Grace and Genius of Phillis Wheatley Poet Laureate of the American Revolution (Paragon 2017), Becoming Abraham Lincoln: The Coming of Age of Our Greatest President (Skyhorse 2017), and
On the Wings of the Wind: The Untold Story of History's First Flight (SynergEbooks 2006). A veteran of thirty years teaching in Brooklyn public schools, Mr. Kigel trained at Columbia University’s Institute for Teaching Reading and Writing.
