About Steve Paul

Steve Paul, a native of Boston, has been a writer and editor for 40 years, and is currently Editorial Page Editor at The Kansas City Star. His interest in the Beats and photography goes back even longer. Over the years, as a book critic and arts journalist, he has written about Allen Ginsberg, William S. Burroughs, Jack Kerouac and others. He's the editor of Kansas City Noir (Akashic, 2012) and co-editor of War + Ink: New Perspectives on Ernest Hemingway's Early Life and Writing (Kent State U Press, 2014).
