Did you know Hammond Guthrie?

Hammond passed in October 2019. An artist and writer, he founded and edited the online literary/art journal, The 3rd Page: A Journal of Ongrowing Natures (2002-2007), which is hosted by Empty Mirror.

I’m planning a celebration of Hammond at Empty Mirror, inspired by the web tributes to others (Stew Albert, Robert Creeley, Chet Helms, Don Allen, et al) that he curated at The 3rd Page.

You’re invited to contribute. If you have thoughts, memories, art, or photos, please get in touch with me.

The publication date is not yet set, but will probably be sometime in April or May.

Denise is Empty Mirror's founder and editor. She's edited several other literary magazines and small-press publications since the 1990s. When not at Empty Mirror, you can probably find her reading or writing -- or out exploring the back roads and beaches of Washington State.

Empty Mirror

Established in 2000 and edited by Denise Enck, Empty Mirror is an online literary magazine that publishes new work each Friday.

Each week EM features several poems each by one or two poets; reviews; critical essays; visual art; and personal essays.
