8 new mixed-media pieces by Claudio Parentela

Claudio Parentela

I like to discover myself little by little … a little every day … every instant … in the time following the time … following the moon with my feet … following the most distant planets with my black gloves.

Every collage is a journey in and out of me with my dirt pajamas. A beautiful and unique way to communicate with me and with you, now and in the past … in hidden, shameless, unpredictable, uncertain, timid ways. Every piece of me is of white and of black, of color and of all the colors … All the pieces of me have no color and I’m hungry for new ways and new colors, I’m hungry for nothing and for all the colors.

I photograph my soul and I paste it to yours, to your bones and to your old car. Your hands hold tight mine and together our hands tie quickly each node, we tie together my eye to thousand and thousands of photos flying quickly in black rivers. I’m motionless and I run tirelessly. I love my old and rusted bathtub and the sea in winter. I’m your voice and I have no need for words. I lose all times all my words and all my voices.

I am 55 years, I am Italian. I love all artists of all time, of my time, of all the universes. Art is a wonderful dance. I love to photograph the black stars, I love to paint the solitary tigers, I want to celebrate, I want to dance my death and my love. My art is anarchical, schizophrenic, freakish, cool …. I love the black Indian ink, its thousand and thousand shades, the thousand thousand shades of the soul, of the souls of past and of Pluto and Mars. I use ropes, wires, needles, thread, scissors, knives to be here and there, here and there … in your and in my heart, in my sex and in yours and elsewhere.

I’m a small collage of 1000000000 pieces of white, black, gray, purple and yellow paper and a giant mountain of dried orange leaves. I love the dark clouds and the pink storms. In my art there are my natural madness, Aurobindo and Mère, Osho, Asterix and Mickey Mouse, John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, Beavis and Butt-Head, Robert Crumb and Shirley Horn, Patty Waters, Diamanda Galas, Ghédalia Tazartès, Tarots and Kundalini Yoga, David Lynch and GG Allin … and again … and again and more ….
