Seven Cloud Paintings by William Clarkson

William Clarkson

I have explored a number of painting styles and techniques over many years of making art works. One subject that I keep returning to is clouds. To me they are a vehicle of imagination. At the age of five they were squadrons of B-17s headed to Europe. At forty they were the approach of doom over Lake Michigan. Now they are popcorn over Indiana and an homage to Georgia O’Keefe.
