Private Eyes: Collages

hiromi suzuki

Artist’s statement:
I’m always creating the collages like “Automatic writing”.
Putting pics of roses, creeks and chimneys on watercolour papers.
Painting Liquitex gels and linseed oil on these.
When I fall asleep, they spend the night to wait for the other stories.
In the morning light, I paste the unknown actors of the untitled movies on roses, creeks and chimneys.

I’m watching them objectively as private eyes.
They hide the secret landscapes.
