BOB KAUFMAN poet of ecstatic litany by Matt Hill

Matt Hill

BOB KAUFMAN poet of ecstatic litany
Bob Kaufman’s poetry of jazz echoes
Bob Kaufman is a traveler of deep space
Bob Kaufman is a holder of many sorrows

Bob Kaufman in syncopated dream chanter
Bob Kaufman speaks from his flawless memory
Bob Kaufman suffers along with the drumbeats
Bob Kaufman rides along on his word cotillion

Bob Kaufman does not monetize the poetic
Bob Kaufman has gone into deliberate eclipse
Bob Kaufman is apprehensive about the future

Bob Kaufman wants to know about knowing
Bob Kaufman has been executed for napping
Bob Kaufman’s hungry heart beats softly on
